Dr. Kimberly Kinsler

Dr. Kimberly Kinsler is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Along with her husband, she is the co-owner of Kinsler Psychology, which she started as the sole employee nearly 15 years ago. Today, she and her staff provide comprehensive mental health services, including counseling, psychological testing, medication management, and specialties in behavior management and autism assessment. She is versatile and works with individuals of all ages. Dr. Kinsler also gives speeches, conducts workshops for a wide variety of audiences, including schools, churches, and law enforcement, and consults with other business owners and entrepreneurs, and she has been a guest on many podcasts and radio programs. Dr. Kinsler has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years treating various mental health concerns with individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Through her experiences in settings such as community mental health centers, residential facilities, military and private hospitals, and college and public education, she has developed an approach to treatment that focuses on the unique needs of the individual and incorporates the strengths he or she already possesses.

As a veteran of the U.S. Army serving at duty stations in Texas and Germany, Dr. Kinsler understands the unique needs of soldiers, military families, and the trauma they sustain through combat and everyday experiences. Focusing on PTSD and trauma is a specialization for Kinsler Psychology and she enjoys addressing the needs of her clients who have endured traumatic experiences.

She also worked with the local school district for nearly 10 years and understands special education services and the need for advocacy. Dr. Kinsler is currently writing a book about improving the relationships between parents and children as well as a children’s book.
